Fun Things to Do in Omaha

Did you know that this year’s Summit is right next door to Omaha. That’s right... just a short hop across the Missouri river and you’ll be right in downtown Omaha with great restaurants, attractions, and nightlife. Here’s just a few of the many options available to you!

Old Market

Over 45 restaurants and drinking establishments beckon visitors on brick-lined streets. From fine French cuisine to fresh pizza, you will find many tempting options. Afterwards, stop for a locally brewed beer or a craft cocktail.

Come explore the Old Market's collection of truly unique shops offering art, fashion, jewelry, and gifts. And if you happen to need a hairstyle update or personal pampering, there are salons that are ready to help!

The Durham Museum

Beautiful architecture blends with memories of a time gone by at the historic Durham Museum. Opened in 1931, Union Station was built by Union Pacific Railroad as the showpiece to the city of its headquarters. Considered one of Omaha’s most unique treasures, and now an official National Historic Landmark, the station is one of the best examples of art deco architecture in the country.

The RiverFront

This public park serves as a gateway between the historic Old Market and north downtown Omaha while providing a scenic pathway down to the Missouri River’s shore. Already The RiverFront has spurred additional transformation in downtown Omaha with new restaurants and retail space popping up in the surrounding areas, increasing vibrancy of the city’s core. Between flourishing native landscaping, robust public art and recreational diversity, The RiverFront has something for everyone.

Omaha's Henry Doorly Zoo & Aquarium

Rated one of the top zoos and aquariums in the nation. The zoo specializes in saving endangered species.

This zoo offers world-class, immersive exhibits like the Desert Dome, Lied Jungle, and a stunning aquarium with a shark tunnel.

Explore 160 acres of plants, animals and unique habitats that invite you to look closer, wander farther and stay wild!
